داستان «شوالیه سیاه» اثر رینا کنت حول آینده ای دیستوپیایی می چرخد که در آن بقای بشریت به شوالیه های سیاه بستگی دارد. داستان در سال 2071 در کره ای پس از آخرالزمان می گذرد، جایی که 99 درصد از جمعیت آن از بین رفتند و آلودگی هوا این کشور را به یک زمین بایر متروک تبدیل کرد. جامعه به سه طبقه تقسیم می شود: مشترک، ویژه و هسته. شخصیت های اصلی کیمبرلی و زاندر نایت هستند که رابطه پیچیده ای دارند. و از بهترین دوستان به دشمنان تبدیل می شوند.
